At the invitation of our school, Professor Lijing Wang from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University visited the school of somatology of Lanzhou university from 7 to 9 January for academic exchange. Professor Wang gave an academic lecture entitled "research strategy and the importance of a genetically modified mouse model." Nearly 100 teachers, graduate students and undergraduates of our college and the first hospital were attending this lecture. The lecture was attracted by the experts and postgraduate students from the first school of medicine of Lanzhou University.

Starting from her own scientific research experience, Professor Wang Lijing demonstrated her team's cutting-edge scientific research results. She pointed out that the four major elements of scientific research are the platform, team, research direction and technology. The basic elements of high-quality research include; rigorous scientific thinking, perfect scientific results. And the most important points are the combination of animal experiments, cell and molecular research, and clinical cases. The content of the lecture is simple and profound, also providing the scientific research hot spots otherwise, the scientific research confidence was increased. Some graduate students of our school also had an in-depth discussion with Professor Wang Lijing on the research of that topic.

During the exchange, Professor Wang Lijing and her delegation visited our school GLP laboratory, cell biology laboratory, microorganism laboratory and Materials Science Laboratory. She affirmed the level of experimental environment and facilities of our school and put forward many valuable opinions on the construction and further development of the laboratory in the future.

This activity provided an excellent academic exchange platform for students and academic staff, opened up a full field of medical scientific research, demonstrated the critical development direction of future medicine, and laid a good foundation for further promoting the research work of dental hospitals.
