From October 14^th to 16^th, the 13^th Annual academic conference of Professional Committee of Periodontology of Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA), was held in Nanchang, which was hosted by CSA, organized by the 2^nd Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. Professor Wang Jing, vice dean of our hospital, young doctor Pei Minyu and postgraduates majoring in periodontology attended this academic exchange conference.

The theme of this conference was "Healthy Oral Cavity, Protect Natural Teeth" and well-known experts and scholars in the field of periodontology in China were invited to conduct in-depth discussions on the multi-disciplinary joint treatment of periodontal disease and share advanced ideas and techniques. At the same time, the conference set up venues for reporting basic and clinical research on periodontal disease, exchanging excellent clinical cases, and displaying poster of basic and clinical cases related to periodontal disease.

Professor Wang Jing was invited to preside over the conference and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Orthodontic Treatment of Periodontal Disease Patients". Pei Minyu, a young doctor, conducted a basic research report entitled "A Study of Liraglutide Affecting Periodontitis in Diabetic Rats through JAK2/STAT3 Signaling". Lv Yurong, Shen Liheng and Yang Lu, postgraduates majoring in Periodontology, exchanged ideas with the experts through the displayed posters.

By attending this conference, the teachers and students of our hospital communicated with the national experts in periodontiology, and had learned the advanced concept of treatment, new technology of treatment and clinical research methods. Our hospital will continue to improve the level of basic research and clinical treatment of periodontitis and make greater contributions to the development of periodontal cause in western China.
