On January 12^th, the Gansu Provincial Health Commission set up a team of 5 experts from the Gansu Provincial Medical Doctor Association and the No. 940 Hospital of the PLA Joint Logistics Support Force carrying out 2021 evaluation of the standardized training base for resident physicians in our hospital.

 At 9:00 a.m., a brief evaluation report was delivered at a meeting. The CEO of the training base, the directors of each specialized base, the directors of each department and the teaching secretaries of each department all attended the meeting. Liu Bin, chief director of our base, also dean of the college, expounded the progress of the standardized training for resident physicians, which included the basic conditions, organization management, teaching and scientific research, and quality of the training etc.

After the briefing, in strict accordance with the "Standardized Training Base Evaluation Indicators", the team conducted on-site evaluations of general stomatology bases and stomatology medicine bases. Inspections were carried out on going through relevant documents, rounds of teaching set, assessment of students’ operational skills, face-to-face interview, etc. All aspects which included management, training, assessment, and quality of standardized resident training had been examined, and finally corresponding guidance was given.

After the assessment, the team gave feedback on the inspection. In line with the principle of improving through assessment and focusing on development, the team pointed out the problems found in the assessment and put forward suggestions and advises on improvement.

Professor Ren Liling, Director of the Residential Training Office, expressed her heartfelt thanks to all the experts for their visit and guidance, and remarked that the base evaluation had provided an opportunity for learning and communication about the resident training work, which was of great guiding significance for us to timely sum up experience, find problems, and rectify and improve. Our hospital will take the evaluation as a stepstone and in accordance with the guidance of experts, carry out rectification activities throughout the hospital, constantly strengthen up the management of the process, improve the ability of teachers, propel internal system building, and improve the quality of training.
