On July 25-28, 2018, Professor Jing Wang and Associate Professor Yuan Zhao were invited to attend the 96th International Association of Dental Research (IADR) Annual Meeting and the IADR European Chapter Annual Meeting in London, England. The International Association of Dental Research Annual Meeting is the highest-level comprehensive academic event in the field of stomatology research. This conference brought together researchers from all over the world in various fields of oral science. Scholars gave speeches on their respective fields of study and presented a wonderful academic feast.

During the meeting, Professor Wang Jing delivered a speech entitled “nanosecond pulse electric fields inhibit malignant melanoma growth by inducing the change in systemtic immunity”. Associate Professor Zhao Yuan shown her latest research “Wnt-Responsive Odontoblasts responsible for the occurrence of dentin after superficial tooth injury”. And they have conducted in-depth exchanges with domestic and foreign research scholars. 

During the conference, good news came out also. The 2021 IADR Annual Meeting will be held in Chengdu, China. This is an opportunity for China to present their civilization, technology and progress to the world, and also showing the unity, forge ahead and innovating for Chinese. The dean of our college not only encourage faculty and students to go abroad, enhance the reputation and influence of Lanzhou University School of Stomatology, but also allowed them learning and understanding the frontier development of the oral field.
