On July 22-24, 2018, the UK-China Workshop：For Regenerative Dentistry - from tooth development to regeneration, was successfully held in Leeds, England. At the opening ceremony, Professor Hai-Sui Yu and Professor Jennifer Kirkham from the University of Leeds and Professor Ling Ye from the West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, and Dr Yingjie Fan from the National Natural and Science Foundation of China (NSFC), respectively, delivered speeches. The conference invited the University of Leeds, University of Manchester and the West China Hospital of Stomatology of Sichuan University, Peking University Hospital of Stomatology, Capital Medical University Hospital of Stomatology, Hospital of Stomatology Lanzhou University and other Chinese and British universities together to share their latest research. Associate Professor Yuan Zhao was invited to attend the conference and gave a speech entitled “Wnt-responsive odontoblasts are responsible for dentinogenesis after superficial tooth injury”.

In response to the school's policy of strengthening international exchanges and improving the international perspective of teachers and students of our school/hospital, in recent years, our school/hospital has increased its support for international exchanges and encouraged teachers and students to go abroad. It has promoted the exchange and study between the teachers of our school with the top talents in the oral science at home and abroad, further enhanced the academic ability of our teachers, keeping up with the pace of school construction.
